A very curious plant, indeed! Mimosa Pudica, known as well as Shy Plant or Sensitive Plant, is a a creeping annual or perennial herb of the Fabaceae Family, native to South and Central America, but introduced by man to pretty much every tropical region of the planet. Its singularity lies in its ability to instantly fold inwards its leaflets once touched or shaken, in order to protect them. I found this one inside Sianok Canyon near Bukittinggi, West Sumatra. And I decided to have a little play with it.
